In 2017 alone, an estimated 45,000 people hiked the famous Kanarra Falls trail. This means that the trail has experienced immense overcrowding. It was announced on Monday at the Iron City Commission meeting that, to help to reduce this overcrowding, an $8 permit will be needed to hike the falls beginning on May 1st.
