2016-03-03 · In short, I use acoustid-index for the initial seach, I index only a small part of the audio fingerprint, I keep the index completely in RAM, I store all fingerprints on SSD disks. Regarding the hardware, I use 32GB of RAM on the servers, 2x 240GB SSD disks in RAID1 for fast storage (fingerprints, MB database), normal disks in RAID1 for anything else.

2013-10-14 · If you want to compare two fingerprints, you need to get the raw data. Using fpcalc, you get that if you call it with the -raw parameter. That will give you a list of 32-bit numbers, instead of the long base64-encoded string. You can also decode string, but for that you would need to interact with Chromaprint as a library.
